My religion teacher, a nun in her 60s, is pro gay...
Nun: People who claim homosexuality is a sin because of their knowledge of the Scriptures need to, excuse my French dear children, need to get their heads out of their asses.
Nun: The Scriptures were written long ago, when science had not discovered what we know today about sexuality.
Nun: We have evolved to a different time, and people who are prejudice against gays and lesbians should grow up.
My suggestion is that whenever you have to choose, always choose the unknown,...

You Don't Have To Act Crazy Anymore
You don’t have to act crazy anymore -
We all know that you are good at that.
Now retire, my dear,
From all that hard work you do
Of bringing pain to your sweet eyes and heart.
Look in a clear mountain mirror -
See the Beautiful Ancient Warrior
And the Divine elements
You always carry inside
That infused this Universe with sacred Life
So long ago
And join you Eternally
With...

Donate Stoves to Families in Haiti →
lazyyogi:
A friend of mine just turned 24 on the 24th and all she asked from her friends was to help her reach the goal of raising $240 for the Adventure Project. Every $60 buys a stove for a family in Haiti.
If anyone is interested in donating, it’ll go a long way. :)

Yoga
So I am going to go off on a slight tangent here but I think if you are interested or practice or dedicate your life to yoga, you may want to give it a look. This is all speaking from my point of view on yoga.
Yoga means union. I see yoga as a vehicle to strengthen the connection of our little unit minds to the infinite mind or Supreme Consciousness or Paramapurusha or even God, whatever form...

To those who have made donations already, thank...
Even if you cannot make a donation, a reblog is just as beneficial to help spread the word. Money is not the only thing that can help, if you have any ideas for other means of donation, just inbox and we can further discuss :).
Keep up the good work everyone!
Have a great day/night (depending where you are :) )
With Love & Light,
Mike

Fasting
I am currently in the middle of my first Ekadashi fast ever. The fast is ideally water-less (I drank roughly 10 oz of water at 4 PM almost cracked!) and is done 2 days a month: the 11th day after the new AND full moons, from sunrise to sunrise. I did this for three specific reasons today: (1) to give the digestive system a little rest. Imagine being an overworked and tired digestive system for...

I Took It as a Sign by Hafiz
Someone sent a band to my house,
And it started playing
At five in the morning.
I took this as a sign:
God wanted me to sing!
Then the moon joined in
And a few of the tenor-voiced stars,
And the Earth offered her lovely belly
As a drum.
Before I knew it,
I realized
All human beings could be happy
If they just had a few music lessons
From a sweet Old Maestro
Like Hafiz.
